Niren Hiro - CEO/Co-Founder
Niren is co-founder & CEO of Miso Mob. He has 20 years of start-up & leadership experience at high growth internet, mobile and media companies including AdMob, Yahoo!, CBS Sportsline, MTV Networks, Plus Channel, & BPL Mobile (a France Telecom joint venture). Prior to Miso Mob, Niren was Vice President & Managing Director of Asia-Pacific & Latin America for AdMob. He joined Admob in 2006 as VP of Business Development, and led the team responsible for AdMob’s strategic partnerships & traffic acquisition in North America as well as the company’s international expansion push. Niren has deep entrepreneurial roots. When he was 21 he founded a highly successful processed foods company in Japan, where he was born and raised, and today he is an angel investor in several promising mobile startups on different continents. Niren has a BS in Finance and a MBA from Boston University.
Tony Guntharp - Engineering/Co-Founder
Tony is one of the co-founders of Miso Mob and runs the Engineering efforts. Miso Mob is the 5th company he's started in 15 years in Silicon Valley. Prior to Miso Mob he was Director of Engineering - Web Services at mobile browser provider Skyfire. He also spent time at VA Research/VA Linux Systems/VA Software where he was one of the co-founders of SourceForge.net and served as the Engineering Manager of the Web Technologies Group and the Desktop Engineering Team. Along the way he's also done consulting for Sharp Electronics, Royal Philips Electronics, Real Networks, NTT, Dogster/Catster, and MyBlogLog. Loves golf, single malt scotch and beer.
Mike Rowehl - Engineering/Co-Founder
Mike is one of the co-founders of Miso Mob and is part of the technical team. Yes, still coding on a daily basis. He founded and helps to organize the Silicon Valley Mobile Monday meetings and the Mobile 2.0 conferences in Europe and the US. Prior to Miso Mob he was working at mobile browser provider Skyfire on service scalability, was co-founder and CEO at Mowser (sold to dotMobi in early 2008), and was one of the first engineers at AdMob. He has a love for mobile devices and fast motorcycles - collecting more of both whenever possible. He keeps a personal blog at http://thisismobility.com.
